About Jack Pickering

I want my students to develop enthusiasm and confidence in learning. I bring my extensive experience to the classroom, including serving as chair and co-chair of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at The College of Saint Rose (1999-2004 and 2020-2024) and director and clinical supervisor for the Saint Rose Gender-Affirming Voice Program (2007-2024), which we’ve now re-opened as part of the Speech and Language Center at Russell Sage.

I’ve served as president of the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (2006), was honored by the association in 2018, and have published one text and 24 chapters and articles in the professional literature. I’ve also given more than 90 peer-reviewed presentations at the state, national, and international levels.
