Brooke Perry

Meet Brooke Perry ’22!  Her Interior + Spatial Design internship at Curtis Lumber Co, Inc., led to a full-time position after she graduated. 

Brooke is working in kitchen and bath sales while she is training for a full-time designer role with Curtis Lumber. 

“My degree really helped me fit into this field because I gained knowledge about materials, construction and space planning,” she said. 

Sage also helped her feel confident approaching potential employers. 

Brooke was specifically interested in kitchen and bath design, so after speaking with her Interior + Spatial Design professors, she took the initiative to reach out to Curtis Lumber about potential internships. 

“During my internship, I was able to see first-hand how great the environment was and when an opportunity was presented to me, I was happy to stay,” said Brooke.

When asked what advice she would give to new students, Brooke said, “Force yourself out of your comfort zone and ask for guidance when you need it!”
