Honor Society for Two-Year Colleges Includes Sage on its Transfer Honor Roll for Second Year in a Row

2021 Transfer Honor Roll badge from Phi Theta Kappa, which recognized Sage as a destination for transfer students.

Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, has named Russell Sage College to its 2021 Transfer Honor Roll.

The honor society considered transfer data, admissions practices, cost and campus life to create its list of the 150 most transfer-friendly schools in the nation.

Sage also appeared on PTK’s 2020 honor roll recognizing four-year colleges and universities that provide a supportive and smooth transition from community colleges.

“Sage knows that transfer students have different expectations,” said Erin Menzer, associate director of transfer and graduate enrollment management, “and we care about them as much as we care about incoming first-year students.”

Sage’s numerous articulation agreements with two-year colleges help maximize transferable credits and simplify enrollment for transfer students, said Menzer. The college’s reputation for serving non-traditional students, small class sizes and transfer scholarships are also attractive to transfer students.

Other recent accolades for Sage include recognition as a Top Performer on Social Mobility in the 2020 and 2021 editions of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges” rankings.
