College shouldn’t be hard to navigate, but a lot of colleges make it complicated. We believe your investment in your education is a big deal. So we’ve listened to students and designed The Gator Gateway — the college experience you deserve.

Ready, set, go!
New Gators get a welcome box with swag and a community read (this fall, it’s Outcasts United: An American Town, a Refugee Team, and One Woman’s Quest to Make a Difference). Self-assessments get you connected with what you need — whether it’s support from the Counseling Center or help figuring out your major or career goals.
Solutions
Solutions is a one-stop in-person and online House of Answers. No having to figure out what office to go to with your questions. We have snacks, and we guarantee we’re never out of smiles!
The RSC Thread
If you’re going to be required to take certain classes, you should get something out of them. All students take RSC 101 (Thriving at Sage), 201 (Exploring Intercultural Perspectives), and 301 (Innovating to Impact). We designed this series of courses so you’d have the opportunity to serve the community and make friends while learning to navigate college, prepare for your career, and grow as a person.
NaviGators, Faculty Advisors, and Gator Guides
There’s always someone to help. NaviGators are student workers who are there to guide you, and Gator Guides are staff members who serve as your mentors throughout your time at Sage.
Thrive@Russell Sage
Wellness and well-being are a focus for everyone at Russell Sage. Our curriculum and campus activities tie to the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, so you learn how to live your best life as a student and later as a professional and citizen.
Careers
Our Center for Career and Self-Discovery staff comes into your classroom and is invested in your success. That’s why 94% of students are employed or accepted to graduate school after graduation.
Outcome data based on surveys of August 2022, December 2022, and May 2023 graduates with a 91% response rate.
Engaged Learning
You’ll get at least two experiences — internships, clinicals, student teaching, service learning, undergraduate research, or experiential learning — where you’ll learn by doing and have the cred you need to secure a job after graduation.
Be.
We embrace students for their unique gifts and experiences and believe they make our collective community stronger. We make it our mission to help students achieve their personal and professional goals by designing a holistic learning experience centered on their growth.
Know.
We emphasize active and experiential learning for all students. It’s not just about sitting in a classroom listening to a professor lecture from the front of the room. A Russell Sage learner is an engaged learner. Considering diverse perspectives, working within the greater community, and preparing students to enter the workforce ready to lead are central to who we are.
Do.
100% of our students graduate with two or more key resume-building experiences, such as an internship, clinical placement, fieldwork, student teaching, study abroad, or service learning experience. 94% of our most recent graduates are working or accepted to graduate school, but “Be. Know. Do.” doesn’t end there. Russell Sage alumni always strive to grow as people and improve the world around them.
