Trans-health refers to both trans-medicine (hormones and surgery) as well as access to competent mental health services. Unfortunately, many therapists have had no training in trans-affirming health care, forcing trans people to educate their therapists when they are most in need of support. At Choices, we are trained and experienced in trans-health, and many of our providers are Certified through The World Professional Association for Transgender Health Global Health Initiative (WPATH GEI) and can provide counseling for gender dysphoria, coming out, accessing resources, medical referrals, or pursuing gender transition.
