The Sage Shuttle carries students and employees between the Troy and Albany campuses for classes, events, weekend shopping trips, and other activities.

Operating Schedule

The shuttle operates during the fall and spring semesters, only when undergraduate day classes and final exams are in session. The Shuttle Schedule is posted at the shuttle stops and available to download. Note: changes to the # of shuttles available or schedule times will be communicated via Sage email.

Monday – Friday, 7:15 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Each way takes 25-30 minutes

Saturday – Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
operates between campuses
& local shopping centers

• Plan for 25-30 minutes of travel time
• Adjustments to the schedule will be communicated via Sage email.
• You may be asked to show your Russell Sage College ID to ride the shuttle.
• Shuttle seating is not guaranteed. You may need to ride an earlier shuttle to secure a seat and arrive on time for class.

Ride CDTA Buses for Free

Russell Sage College has partnered with the Capital District Transit Authority (CDTA) to provide free CDTA bus transportation throughout the Capital District. The service area for CDTA includes Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, and Saratoga counties.

We encourage all our students and employees to take a green step and ride the bus!

  • Available to full-time, matriculated undergraduate students (who pay a transportation fee to access this service) and full-time faculty and staff.
  • Pay by swiping your valid Russell Sage College photo identification card at the fare-box. ID cards are available in College Services.
  • Visit the CDTA website for a complete listing of schedules and routes.
