Founded in 1960, the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT) is an institution of higher learning originally subordinate to the former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation but under the administration of the Shanghai Municipal Government since 1994.
The sole institution of higher education for international business in the East China region, SIFT boasts a long history of business education with its distinctive traits and traditional superiority.
In 1994, Dr. Steven Leibo made the initial visit to Shanghai. After the initial connection was made, SIFT President Feng Fuhai and Professor Lu Andong came to Russell Sage College to sign the Sage-SIFT exchange agreement.
Since 1994, numerous Russell Sage College faculty have participated in the Sage-SIFT exchange. Professors who have participated include:
