Guidance Counselors & Teachers
The Sage Arts Award program at Sage College of Albany recognizes the talent, achievement, and creative potential of outstanding high school junior student-artists. The award encourages students to pursue a career in the arts. Recipients of the award will receive a certificate of nomination and an invitation to The Sage College of Albany Portfolio Review Day during their senior year.
Sage College of Albany will work with you to honor the nominee at your schools honor/graduation ceremonies and in your local newspaper. The student nominee will be eligible for a scholarship to Sage College of Albany. (Note: Sage Arts Award Recipients will be encouraged to apply to Sage College of Albany their senior year. The monetary scholarship will be granted upon admission to the College to use towards tuition. All candidates for admission must provide a portfolio of work.)
We are looking for exceptional students from the junior class who are looking to design their future. The ideal candidate will be someone who not only demonstrates superior artistic talent, but who is also academically sound and a leader within their high school community. Specifically, they must maintain at least a B+ average, have a minimum combined 1000 SAT (Critical Reading & Math) and an "exceptional" portfolio of work.
